Aroostook County is a great place to visit in all seasons

As Aroostook County warms to beautiful summer days and comfortable summer nights, outdoor vacation opportunities abound. Visitors may enjoy extensive all terrain vehicle trails, hiking and bicycling trails, as well as excellent swimming, golfing, camping and hiking throughout The County. Some build a vacation around one of Aroostook's famous festivities, like the Potato Blossom Festival in July, or the Acadian Festival in late June.

Summer activities continue into fall with picturesque foliage providing a backdrop of color. The breathtaking array of color attracts tourists as they take long leisurely walks or drives in order to appreciate the brilliance of Mother Nature.

Aroostook County offers plenty of outstanding recreation for the downhill and cross-country skier, as well as the snowmobiler. Aroostook County's snowmobile trail system has been rated the highest in New England and the third highest in the entire North American snowbelt. More than 2,300 miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails link to the Interconnecting Trail System (ITS).

As the days grow longer and the snow recedes, sap begins to run in area Maple trees and syrup producers fire up their sugar shacks to create their tasty treats. Aroostook County's quaint villages, safe communities, abundant wilderness, outdoor sports opportunities, and unique festival and cultural events herald spring and visitors seeking new experiences.
