Tri-Community Recycling & Sanitary Landfill

Today, more than ever, it's important for all of us to do what we can to reduce the amount of solid waste we generate. Not only is this good for the environment but it also saves everyone money. Throughout the TCL service area, Igloos have been placed for your recycling convenience.

"You can make a difference!"

The Red Igloo

  • Deposit Clear Plastic Milk and Water Jugs Only
  • Look for a number "2" on bottom of container in the recycling triangle
  • Remove caps and rinse clean
  • Crush containers to reduce volume by carefully stepping on them.
  • Place inside the red iglo
  • You did it

The Blue Igloo

  • Deposit Colored Plastic Containers Only.
    (Such as detergents, bleach, shampoo, dish liquid, and even oil containers)
  • Look for a Number "2" on bottom of container in the recycling triangle.
  • Remove caps and rinse clean
  • Crush containers to reduce volume by carefully stepping on them.
  • Place inside the igloo!
  • Please no wide mouth containers such as cool whip, butter dishes, etc. or any type of lid.

The Yellow Igloo

  • Newspapers and Telephone Books Only!
  • Leave loose, no need to tie or bundle
  • Try to keep as dry as possible
  • Remember - If it comes in the paper it can be recycled with the paper.

The Green Igloo

  • Magazines and Junk Mail!
  • All magazines and catalogs are OK.
  • Junk mail is now OK too!

The Gray Igloo

  • Accepts Tin and Steel Cans Only!
  • Rinse, Rinse, Rinse
  • Paper labels and lids are OK.
  • Empty paint cans OK (empty - thin dry skin of paint only)
  • Aerosol cans OK (leave nozzles on can)
  • Please no aluminum cans or aluminum foil or food trays.

Mon.-Fri. 8:00-4:00
Saturday 8:00-3:00
Sunday Closed
Note: Igloos are never closed.
