The new Aroostook County Tourism (ACT) Visitors Guide is hot off the press and out for distribution in The County.
“The Visitors Guide contains information on all the wonderful things Aroostook County has to offer with topics including, but not limited to, cultural, historical, recreational, hunting, fishing, motorized and non-motorized activities, lodging, dining, and events,” said Alain Ouellette, regional tourism developer for Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC). “There is also some beautiful photography, courtesy of Mike Gudreau, Paul Cyr, and other talented photographers in the region.”
Each year, 10,000 copies of the guide are produced and distributed by mail, online, through official Maine Visitor Information Centers, and at numerous domestic and Canadian travel and trade shows. The annually produced Aroostook Visitors Guide is the primary publication used by ACT to attract first-time and returning visitors to the year-round offerings of the entire region. The guide contains articles, photography, maps, an event calendar, and information on dining, lodging, and recreation—everything visitors need to plan an Aroostook County vacation.
Guides are available at NMDC in Caribou.
